As we enter another year of community based programming, it is most important to remember-NCTV45 often imitated but never duplicated.

NCTV45 has been the leader in community television in Lawrence County and western Pennsylvania for well over a decade. We take pride in having received “The James Pedas Media Mentor Award,” which recognized our quality programming and our successful mentoring of high school and college students. Our award winning programming has provided the greater New Castle area with exceptional coverage of local and regional events. In addition to our quality programming NCTV45 has been a leader in utilizing the latest technologies to make our content easily accessible by television, computer, tablet, or cellphone.

Because part of the NCTV45 mission is to inform, education, and entertain we strive to have our programming satisfy these objectives. To that end we provide a diverse programming lineup, which includes daily shows, weekly content, and special events. Some highlights include our reporting on local and regional news and sports, weather, updates on scheduled community events, as well as political coverage involving elections and county commissioner meetings.

NCTV45 also focuses on live broadcasts of local and regional sporting events, local holiday parades, and other live events. These include high school football, basketball, baseball, and track and field. Additional live sports broadcasts include Hess Adult Hockey and Baron’s baseball. Live parade broadcasts include Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and Christmas. Other live broadcast events include activities such as the annual High School Band Festival and special events such as the Victory Celebration parade in honor of New Castle High School winning state titles in basketball and baseball.

NCTV45 programming goes beyond news content. Viewers can watch daily and weekly religious services. We broadcast a thought for the day and a bible quiz. Our “Cook in the Castle” show is extremely popular due to its easy to follow recipes that tantalize the tastebuds. And we continue to experiment with new content that viewers might find appealing, such as our new show “All Sewed Up,” a sewing program that will focus on beginner level projects.
